and Malaysia. Our soaps do not contain any of the following: - SLS/SLES (sodium laurel sulphates) - Fragrance / perfumes - Hardeners - Colors or mica - chemical whiteners - petroleum by-products - any type of toxins. Our soaps are made with pure vegetable and nut oils, pure essential oils, floral and herbal extracts, real flowers, dried herbs, Australian clays, Chinese Kaolin clay or French green clay. All our soaps are saponified using natural lye only, which is the traditional method of soap making (click here to read about the History of Soap) . This method also infuses the soap with natural glycerine and essential fatty acids that nourish, moisturise and protect the skin. Pure Olive Castille Soap
Our castille soap (read more about Castille soap here) is handmade in Australia and USA. 100% natural, sulphate free, fragrance free and colorant free.
Olive oil has been used in soap making for thousands of years. It naturally contains antioxidant vitamins A and E. These vitamins protect the skin cells from free radicals as well as stimulating them to renew and repair damage. Olive oil is an emollient, working to moisturize your skin and hair. This soap is excellent for sensitive skin, baby skin, sufferers of eczema and psoriasis and skin of cancer patients undergoing radio or chemo therapy. Such therapy makes the skin super dry, thin and prone to infections.
The other two ingredients combined with the vegetable and fruit oils to create the chemical reaction of saponification are water and sodium hydroxide, or lye. Lye is a highly alkali substance. Once saponification occurs, there is no lye left as it has been chemically converted to become soap. Adding more oils results in a “super-fatted” soap. This means that while the soap cleans one’s skin, a thin layer of oils that protect from bacteria and other environmental irritants is retained. It also means that the skin feels silky smooth instead of dry and tight.
As castille is unscented, you can also customise this soap with pure essential oils of your choice such as lavender for babies, 'manly' oils such as; vetiver, basil, lemongrass, lime or sandalwood for guys, and for ladies; rose, jasmine, neroli for a fresh or sweet after effect.
This soap is so pure that you can save money by mixing it half & half with distilled water (available in supermarkets) and it will still foam naturally and clean superbly! You get twice as much soap for the price of one order !!
